Peter Mulheran, a veteran of the printing ink industry, has acquired Sani-Blast Inc., of Spring Grove, MN, USA, a manufacturer of anilox roll cleaning equipment. The products utilize sodium bicarbonate as the cleaning medium.

“Sani-Blast provides the only automated on-press anilox cleaning method and is the most environmentally safe,” says Mulheran. “The result is the most effective cleaning possible while reducing press downtime and increasing roller life.”

Mulheran’s flexographic career began as a founder of Werneke and Mulheran Inc., a manufacturer of water based and energy curable inks. From there he worked with Akzo Nobel Inks, Sicpa North America and Siegwerk Inks while being active in trade associations such as the Flexographic Technical Association, the Tag & Label Manufacturers Association, and the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers.
